Just How Bad IS This Defense?

Pete Dougherty puts it in historical perspective:

...the Packers’ defense is hemorrhaging and has given up 86 total points in the last two games against New Orleans and Carolina, the most points the Packers have allowed in back-to-back games since the Ray “Scooter” McLean-coached 1-10-1 team of 1958 gave up 91 points in a 38-35 win over Philadelphia and 56-0 loss to Baltimore the next week.

That's right. Scooter F'in McLean Bad. THAT'S how bad they are.

Yeah, NO got 20 points against TB yesterday. Yes, the GB defense sucks. 4 rushing tds yesterday. And what do I hear? "If it hadn't been for a forty yard run we stopped the run pretty well."

Better question is when is the last time the Packers scored 29 (or more) points in back to back games and lost BOTH games? Even in the instance listed by the GBPG one of those games was a Packers win.

PRC is right. Scoring 29 and 31 (with 420 yards of total offense) should get you wins in the NFL. Wonder when the last time was we lost two consecutive like that
