13 Things To Watch
13 things to watch for tonight as the Packers take on the Cowboys.
By PackerAaron
The last two weeks I've been at the game and have had plenty to watch. But as gameday approached this week, I found myself anxious, nervous even, about what to watch as the Packers took on the Cowboys.
Thank heavens I remembered our friends in the main stream media have it all laid out for me...

He's sidetracked... trying to figure out ways to remind us that he went to a couple of games while still delivering GBP news. God bless him.

Hey !!
Stop it.
STOP IT!!!
I'll not have divisiveness in this locker-room!
C'mon you two -- you know you love each other. Now shake, and let's focus on the Cowboys.
(and I better not hear any bitching about the caterers...)

Tonights gonna be a good night....
In this week before the bye, I'm very excited to see if the OFFENSE is ready to turn it up a notch and carry us through the playoffs.
Finley down hurts but the offensive line now has had enough time to gel and the game against the Jets was a real bonding experience against a tough scheme.
(Apologies to all "real" Packer fans of obviously I am not only being there since 1969) Without DD and a week to practice, I am very anxious/excited to see what the offense looks like with Jones and Quarless taking the throws over the middle, Jennings continuing to get thrown with under/crossing routes in space (as opposed to all the fly patterns and double moves before the Jet game) and leeting JoNel and BS handle the fly patterns.
Cause tonights gonna be a good night...Ooooo, oooh.

Oh goodness. You made me laugh and cringe at the same time as I pictured a man old enough to have watched the Packers in 1969 actually jamming out to that song. JoNel? I dated a girl named Jonelle in high school. I don't think either of them would appreciate the moniker.

Hell I am looking towards Atlanta.
Also Zombo still has more sacks than Jared Allen, suck it Purple People Eaters.
By the way, I will not be surprised if Tavaris Jackson is waiting with a weapon backstage, when Favre goes back inside after warm ups and attack his leg.

Farve is a figging day-walking vampire. Tavaris better bring a wooden stake.
The Vikings D-line has seriously underperformed this year. I've read that Allen got married in the off-season and didn't work out as hard. I think the Williams Wall is getting old. And the secondary doesn't give them any coverage sacks. I think the Packers-Vikings game will the the "dagger" for the Vikings season.

OMG, they can walk in the daylight now?
November 07, 2010 at 10:03 am
We should blitz Woodson. Remember when he hit Romo and Romo fumbled last year. That was awesome. We should do that this year, but to Kitna.
November 07, 2010 at 10:57 am
How about Shields on a CB blitz to sack Kitna in the endzone for a safety? That'd be fun.
November 07, 2010 at 12:28 pm
...or, how about a bobbled ball -- recovered for a touchdown ?
Yeah !

I want to see the Return of Superman!

Can anybody summarize the JSOnline article ?
I guess I'm what the Journal Sentinel refers to as a "PackerOutsider"...
thanks...

Position group comparisions:
A) Packers have advantage everywhere (including coaching) except ST's. Packers and Cowboys proclaimed "Tied" @ RB.
B) "5 THINGS TO WATCH".
1)Kitna is old and not very good. Packers could whomp him badly. Super Obvious.
2)Drivel about comparing the Bulaga pick vs. Dez Bryant. Did I mention this is drivel? The JSO says it'll be "fascinating" comparing their career arcs. Really? That's junk.
3) Watching Wade Phillips and his staff for the rest of the year try to motivate their team when they are almost guaranteed to be fired at seasons end apparently also interests the writer. More drivel.
4) Dom Capers D attempting to slow down the #4 ranked offense. Hey, this looks like it's actually a good "things to watch" idea.
5) Keeping an eye on Tim Mathsay, see if last week was an anomaly or the start of a trend. Another good thing to watch.
So, there you have a summary. And, now I'm questioning why I pay for JSO Packers Insider.

Thank you -- that was kind of you... and quite funny.
(I hope McGinn doesn't come after our ass, wanting his pound of flesh)
I guess the Bulaga/Bryant "arc" thing could gain traction, if Bryan lines up in the slot -- otherwise, not so much.
Hopefully, Capers will put together a good plan. Tonight may have some similarity to the Jets game: decent runners, questionable passer.
Regarding Masthay: earlier in the year, I noticed his left leg about a yard in front of his right, as he caught the snap (an attempt to have him punt in the *preferable* 2 1/4 steps??). It looked really awkward. Now, I think Slocum might be saying: "just catch, punt, and don't get it blocked". Masthay seems much more relaxed. If Swain hadn't made contact with a ball, Masthay might have had 6 of 8 inside the 20.
Here's to a dominating Packer victory!
