Williams' Wall Awarded Another Injunction

Brian Murphy of the Pioneer Press reports that Hennepin County Judge Gary Larson ruled that as long as Minnesota Vikings defensive tackles Kevin and Pat Williams file appeals, they won't have to immediately serve their four-game suspensions for taking a substance banned by the National Football League.

Larson said the the player's proved they "would suffer irreparable injury unless the stay is granted, that (the NFL) will not be substantially harmed, and that the stay will not harm the public interest", and ordered the Williamses to post $10,000 bond for him to grant the motion.

The Minnesota Court of Appeals will automatically hear the players' case.

Larson previously ruled that the NFL violated the Williamses' rights under state labor laws, but determined that the players were not entitled to protection from suspension.
