Seahawks WR Isaiah Stanback Has Torn Achilles

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Isaiah Stanback was carted off the field on Saturday night, and Eric Williams of the Tacoma News Tribune reports the former University of Washington quarterback has a torn Achilles tendon and will likely miss the 2010 season.

Stanback is the second Seahawks player to tear an Achilles tendon this week, joining first-year linebacker Anthony Heygood, who tore his during warm-ups on Thursday.

Claimed off waivers from the New England Patriots on June 1, Stanback was a fourth-round pick (103rd overall) by the Dallas Cowboys in 2007. The 6-2, 208-pound Stanback has appeared in 16 games, including two starts, over the last three seasons, catching 5 passes for 46 yards and averaging 22.7 yards on 14 kick returns.

The Seahawks' lone practice on Sunday will take place at Husky Stadium, where Stanback played from 2003-07, piling up 4,662 yards of total offense with 33 touchdowns.
