Ravens Agree to Terms With CB Chris Hawkins

The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to terms with rookie free agent cornerback Chris Hawkins, reports Adam Caplan of FOXSports.com.

Hawkins was a two-year starter at LSU, totaling 93 tackles and 5 interceptions during his final two seasons for the Tigers.

The 6-0, 187-pound Hawkins ran a 4.43-40 at the Combine with a 35" vertical leap and 9'10" broad jump, but didn't hear his name called in April and signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Jacksonville cut Hawkins on July 7.

Injuries have hit the Ravens' secondary the last two seasons, and Hawkins is the tall, fast, long-armed corner that club covets. Hawkins faces an uphill battle to earn a roster spot, but if he impresses this summer, could be a guy the Ravens look to keep around on the practice squad.
