Rams CB Bradley Fletcher Gains Medical Clearance

St. Louis Rams cornerback Bradley Fletcher has been cleared by doctors to return to the practice field.

St. Louis Rams cornerback Bradley Fletcher has been cleared by doctors to return to the practice field, Nate Haber, Fletcher's agent, announced.

A third-round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft out of Iowa, the 6-0, 198-pound Fletcher tore two ligaments in his right knee midway through his rookie season. When the injury happened, Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo indicated that Fletcher might be ready for the start of the 2010 regular season.

Fletcher appeared in seven games as a rookie, and was starting his third consecutive game when injured his knee. For the season, Fletcher totaled 23 tackles and a pass defensed, along with a fumble recovery on special teams.

As long as Fletcher stays healthy, he will compete with Justin King and 2010 third-round pick Jerome Murphy for a starting spot opposite Ronald Bartell.
