Raiders Sign WR Damola Adeniji

Free agent wide receiver Damola Adeniji has signed with the Oakland Raiders, the team's official transactions page reports.

Adeniji is an undrafted free agent from Oregon State who initially signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but was waived on May 19.

The 6-4, 215-pound Adeniji walked-on to Oregon State in 2007, red-shirting his first season. Adeniji played largely on special teams in 2008, but showed a knack for the big play, blocking a punt and returning it 27 yards for a touchdown, and catching a 39-yard touchdown pass, his only reception on the season.

Awarded a scholarship just days before the 2009 season-opener, Adeniji started 11 of 13 games last season, catching 57 passes for 807 yards, good for third on the Beavers in both categories behind the talented Rodgers brothers (James and Jacquizz).

Adeniji was second on the Beavers with 5 touchdowns receptions in 2009.
