The New England Patriots announced the signing of seventh-round defensive lineman Kade Weston and seventh-round quarterback Zac Robinson on Wednesday.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Weston (6-5, 316) started 21 of his 49 games at the University of Georgia, totaling 79 tackles, including 16.5 for a loss, with 4.5 quarterback sacks and 59 quarterback hits.

After playing tackle in the Bulldogs’ 4-3, Weston projects to the “5” technique in New England’s 3-4 defensive scheme.

Robinson (6-2, 214) was a three-year starter at Oklahoma State University, where he completed 61% of his 999 pass attempts for 8,317 yards, with 66 touchdowns and 31 interceptions. A talented athlete, Robinson also ran for 1,966 yards and 22 touchdowns for the Cowboys.

Robinson is the third quarterback on the roster behind Tom Brady and Brian Hoyer, though the Patriots have been one team that has been unafraid to go with two quarterbacks on the 53-man roster.

Weston and Robinson are the seventh and eighth members of the Patriots' 12-member 2010 NFL Draft class to sign contracts.
