Patriots Release DL Amon Gordon

The New England Patriots announced that they have released veteran defensive lineman Amon Gordon.

Gordon signed a one-year deal with the Patriots on April 21.

A fourth-round pick (161st overall) out of Stanford by the Cleveland Browns in 2004, Gordon has made 29 tackles in 13 games over parts of five seasons with the Browns, Denver Broncos, Baltimore Ravens, and Tennessee Titans.

Gordon spent of the 2009 off-season with the Philadelphia Eagles, but was waived with an injury settlement in mid-August.
