Man Expects to Press Charges Against Britt

Harold Pointer, the 26-year old man who was allegedly punched by Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt in a Nashville nightclub last night, plans to pursue charges, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reports.

"I am looking for a lawyer to pursue it," Pointer told the newspaper on Friday.

"Kenny sent the other guy over to hit me, and once he hit me Kenny came over," Pointer added. "Someone told me he was hitting me with bottles, I don’t know because I was defending myself. But I know Kenny was hitting me upside my head."

Pointer adds that Titans running back Chris Johnson was at the club, and attempted to play a peacemaking role.

According to Nashville police, Pointer was involved in a fight with 29-year old Bradford Miser. While the two were on the ground, Britt joined the fight, with witnesses observing Britt striking Pointer, who received four stitches above his left eye.

Britt was not arrested last night, but Metro Police spokesman Don Aaron called the situation an "open misdemeanor assault investigation".
