Jets C Nick Mangold Won't Hold Out of Training Camp

New York Jets center Nick Mangold is one of three members of the club's "Core Four" who is still seeking a long-term contract, but the two-time Pro Bowler won't hold out from training camp.

"It doesn't seem to me to do any good to do it, so I'll be there with bells on," Mangold told the NFL Network on Friday night.

Mangold is scheduled to make $3.3 million in 2010, the final year of his rookie contract. Fellow offensive lineman D'Brickashaw Ferguson, who like Mangold was chosen by the Jets in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft, signed a six-year contract extension that included $60 million dollars in "new money" two weeks ago.

All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis is also seeking a new contract, and has not ruled out a training camp absence to get one. Inside linebacker David Harris is the fourth member of the "Core Four" seeking a new deal.

Harris and Revis will each earn $550,000 in base salary this season.
