Jaguars DE Quentin Groves Tweets Trade

Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Quentin Groves announced on Twitter that he's been traded.

"Duval County.... I LOVE U GUYS...thanks for all your support...New Starts=New Beginnings...OAKLAND HERE I COME!!!!", Groves wrote.

Groves' profile picture is now the Oakland Raiders' logo.

Groves (6-3, 254) has yet to display the pass-rushing potential that prompted the Jaguars to use a second-round pick (52nd overall) on the former Auburn Tiger. In 32 games, including 7 starts in 2009, Groves has 43 tackles and 2.5 quarterback sacks, both coming during his rookie campaign. Groves snared his first career interception in 2009, picking off New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez in the Jaguars' 24-22 win over the Jets.

Groves is signed through 2011, with base salaries of $470,000 this season and $555,000 in 2011.
