Haynesworth Won't Take Conditioning Test on Sunday

According to Rich Campbell of the Free Lance-Star, Washington Redskins defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth will not take the team's conditioning test this morning.

As a result, Haynesworth will be an observer for the fourth day of training camp.

Haynesworth injured a knee while failing the test on Thursday and Friday, and did not take the test on Saturday after developing swelling. Haynesworth will presumably take the test once swelling subsides, possibly as early as Monday morning.

Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan will not allow Haynesworth to participate until he passes the conditioning test, which requires Haynesworth to complete two sets of 300-yard shuttles within 70 seconds, with a three minute rest between heats. Haynesworth failed the first set of Friday's test by one second, but considering the swelling of his knee, it doesn't sound like he'd be able to fully practice even if he had passed the test.

A couple of D.C.-area reporters attempted the test.
