Giants Place Sorgi, Moss, and Tracy on IR

To cut their roster down to the 75-man limit, the New York Giants have placed quartebrack Jim Sorgi (shoulder), wide receiver Sinorice Moss (groin), and sixth-round linebacker Adrian Tracy (elbow) on season-ending injured reserve.

Offensive lineman Kevin Boothe was placed on "Reserve/PUP", while undrafted rookie wide receiver Nyan Boateng was waived.

Boothe, a restricted free agent this off-season, suffered a torn pectoral muscle during the team's off-season workout program. Boothe was expected to miss 4-5 months, which put his expected return for late September. Boothe will now be eligible to come off PUP on October 19.
