Giants Claim LB/DE Alex Hall Off Waivers

The New York Giants announced that they have been awarded linebacker Alex Hall off waivers from the Arizona Cardinals.

Cornerback Bruce Johnson has been placed on injured reserve to add Hall to the 53-man roster.

A seventh-round pick (231st overall) out of St. Augustine by the Cleveland Browns in 2008, Hall started two games during first two seasons in the league, and has totaled 38 tackles and 3 quarterback sacks.

Hall (6-5, 250) has also been credited with 15 tackles and a forced fumble on special teams.

Traded by the Browns to the Philadelphia Eagles this off-season, Hall was waived by the Eagles prior to training camp and claimed by the New York Giants. In three pre-season games, Hall totaled 8 tackles but was "waived/injured" with a shoulder injury. Hall signed with the Arizona Cardinals in mid-September, but did not appear in a game before being placed on waivers on Saturday.
