Former NFL DT Norman Hand Passes Away at 37

Former National Football League defensive tackle Norman Hand passed away Friday morning in South Carolina, WSCS reports.

The cause of death is presently under investigation.

A fifth-round pick (158th overall) out of the University of Mississippi by the Miami Dolphins in 1995, Hand posted 22.5 quarterback sacks and a pair of interceptions in a 10-year career that also included stints with the San Diego Chargers (1997-99), New Orleans Saints (2000-02), Seattle Seahawks (2003), and New York Giants (2004).

Hand was 37 years old, and my prayers are with his family, friends, and loved ones.
