Eageles Re-Sign LB Tracy White

The Philadelphia Eagles have re-signed linebacker Tracy White to a one-year deal, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Running back Martell Mallet was released.

The decision to re-sign White, who spent the previous two seasons in Philadelphia, comes a day after the Eagles traded reserve/special teams linebacker Joe Mays to the Denver Broncos in exchange for running back J.J. Arrington, who passed his physical with the Eagles this afternoon.

White, who began his NFL career in 2003 with the Seattle Seahawks, had 35 tackles and his first career interception for the Eagles last season. White led the Eagles in special teams tackles with 17, and recovered a fumble.

In 94 games during his seven-year career, which has also included stints with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2005) and Green Bay Packers (2006-07), the former undrafted free agent from Howard University has 122 tackles and a quarterback sack.
