Dumervil Has Torn Pectoral Muscle

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Denver Broncos linebacker Elvis Dumervil suffered a torn pectoral muscle during last night's practice.

Dumveril's injury, which occurred during a one-on-one pass-rushing drill with the offensive linemen, will sideline him indefinitely. Dumervil exited the practice field holding his right arm tight to his chest.

The NFL's reigning sack leader signed a six-year, $61.5 million extension on July 22 that included over $43 million in guarantees.

With Dumervil sidelined, the Broncos will be counting on former first-round picks Robert Ayers (2009) and Jarvis Moss (2007) to replace Dumervil's pass-rushing from the outside linebacker position.
