Cowboys Trade OL Pat McQuistan to the Dolphins

Dallas Cowboys back-up offensive lineman Pat McQuistan has been traded to the Miami Dolphins for an undisclosed draft choice, Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News reports.

A seventh-round pick (211th overall) out of Weber State by the Cowboys in 2006, McQuistan (6-6, 317) has played in a back-up role in 40 games for the Cowboys over the last four seasons.

When McQuistan was drafed by Dallas, current Dolphins president Bill Parcells was the Cowboys' head coach. Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano was the Cowboys' offensive line coach in 2006, and current Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland was the Cowboys' VP of College and Pro Scouting.

McQuistan also reunites with former Cowboys offensive line teammates Cory Procter and Joe Berger.

Tendered at the "Original Round" level as a restricted free agent this off-season, McQuistan is scheduled to make $1.176 million in base salary in 2010.
