Cowboys Sign TE Scott Chandler Off Practice Squad

As expected, the Dallas Cowboys have reached an injury settlement with fullback Deon Anderson.

Tight end Scott Chandler has been promoted from the team's practice squad to fill Anderson's spot on the 53-man roster.

A 2007 fourth-round pick out of Iowa by the San Diego Chargers, the 6-7, 272-pound Chandler spent his first two seasons in San Diego, including all of 2008 on injured reserve. Chandler joined the Cowboys last May, and was on the Cowboys' practice squad for much of the season before he was signed to the New York Giants' active roster.

Waived by the Giants earlier this month, Chandler joined the Cowboys' practice squad at the start of the season.

Chandler has not appeared in an NFL game since Week 15 of his rookie season.
