Colts Sign DB Marcus McCauley

According to Paul Kuharsky of ESPN.com, the Indianapolis Colts have signed free agent defensive back Marcus McCauley.

Undrafted rookie cornerback Thad Turner (Ohio) has been waived.

A third-round pick (72nd overall) out of Fresno State by the Minnesota Vikings in 2007, McCauley started 10 of 26 games during his first two seasons in the NFL, totaling 70 tackles and 8 passes defensed.

Cut by the Vikings at the end of last year's training camp, McCauley (6-1, 203) had stints with the Detroit Lions, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints, and Washington Redskins last season, appearing in one game, the regular season opener, for Detroit.
