Colts Agree to Terms With 3rd Round CB Kevin Thomas

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Indianapolis Colts have signed third-round cornerback Kevin Thomas.

The Colts also officially announced the signing of second-round linebacker Pat Angerer, who as first reported by the National Football Post, agreed to a four-year, $3.14 million dollar contract earlier this week.

Thomas appeared in 39 games during his career at USC, becoming a full-time starter during the 2009 season, after which he was named honorable mention All Pac-10. During his career, Thomas had 89 tackles, including 4.5 for a loss and three quarterback sacks. Thomas added 3 interceptions and 21 passes defensed.

Injuries hampered Thomas throughout his college career, with Thomas missing portions of his freshman and sophomore seasons to mononucleosis, a sprained right ankle, and a broken foot. Thomas missed the entire 2007 season after having surgery on his left shoulder.

Unfortunately, Thomas tore an ACL during the final day of the Colts’ post-draft rookie mini-camp and will spend his rookie season on injured reserve.
