Chiefs Sign LB Eric Bakhtiari

The Kansas City Chiefs announced that they have signed free agent linebacker Eric Bakhtiari.

Originally signed by the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of the University of San Diego, the 6-3, 250-pound linebacker has also had stints with the San Francisco 49ers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tennessee Titans, Miami Dolphins, and Cleveland Browns, where he finished the 2010 season on the practice squad.

Bakhtiari had a two-week stint on the Chiefs' practice squad during the 2010 season, as well.

With Bakhtiari signed, the Chiefs now have nine players signed to "Reserve/Future" contracts for next season: WR Jeremy Horne, TE Cody Slate, T Robert Greenwood, G Darryl Harris, DL Dion Gales, LB Eric Bakhtiari, LB Justin Cole, LB Micah Johnson, LB Pierre Walters
