Cardinals Sign FB Charles Ali

The Arizona Cardinals have signed free agent fullback Charles Ali, Darren Urban of reports.

Signed in 2007 by the Cleveland Browns as undrafted free agent out of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, the 6-2, 265-pound Ali appeared in 28 games for the Browns during his first two seasons in the NFL, catching four passes for 13 yards.

Waived by the Browns last September, the Ravens signed Ali in the second half of last season, but he did not appear in a game. In January, the Ravens signed Ali to a one-year contract for the 2010 season, but waived him last week.

Ali joins a fullback corps that includes Nehemiah Broughton and Reagan Maui'a.
