Buccaneers RB Kareem Huggins Has Torn ACL

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Kareem Huggins will miss the remainder of the 2010 season with a torn ACL in his right knee, head coach Raheem Morris confirmed on Monday.

"Kareem was the featured back for about five plays until disaster struck again," Morris said.

Signed in 2009 as an undrafted free agent from Hofstra, Huggins spent most his rookie season on the Buccaneers' practice squad. Huggins led the Buccaneers in rushing during the 2010 pre-season, earning a spot on the 53-man roster.

In three games this season, Huggins gained 11 yards on 4 carries and caught one pass for 7 yards prior to his injury.
