Browns Working Out Deal With Shurmur

The Cleveland Browns are in the process of working out a contract that would make St. Louis Rams offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur their next head coach, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

A deal could be hammered out within the next 24 hours, with the team introducing Shurmur on Friday.

Shurmur has been the Rams' offensive coordinator the last two seasons after spending ten seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, coaching under Andy Reid, a protege of Browns president Mike Holmgren.

Shurmur coached the Eagles' tight ends (1999-2001) and quarterbacks (2002-08) in Philadelphia.
