Broncos Will Start Kyle Orton

Denver Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton will start next Sunday, interim head coach Eric Studesville announced on Monday.

Fans of the 3-10 Broncos have begun clamoring to see first-round pick Tim Tebow, who has attempted just one pass, a three-yard touchdown to fullback Spencer Larsen, this season.

"That's not where we're at at this particular second," Studesville said when asked about starting Tebow, Lindsey Jones of The Denver Post reports.

Orton has completed 293-of-498 pass attempts for 3,653 yards with 20 touchdowns and 9 interceptions, but has been sacked an NFL-high 34 times as the 10th-ranked Broncos offense struggles on 3rd downs (29th), time of possession (27th) and scoring (19th).

The Broncos travel to the Oakland Raiders next Sunday before finishing with back-to-back home games against the Houston Texans and San Diego Chargers. Perhaps those will be the particular seconds where Studesville decides it's Tebow Time in the Mile High City.
