Bears Sign 7th Round OT J'Marcus Webb

Chicago Bears seventh-round offensive tackle J'Marcus Webb has signed a four-year deal with the team, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Financial details were not disclosed.

Webb is the first of the five Bears' 2010 draft class to sign, and is the second player from the 2010 NFL Draft to sign a contact.

The 6-7, 328-pound Webb was the 218th overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Webb began his college career at the University of Texas, appearing in 12 games as a freshman. Webb spent the 2007 season at Navarro College, before transferring to West Texas A&M for the 2008 and 2009 seasons, where he started 24 games at left tackle.

By signing a contract, Webb will be able to participate in all 14 of the team's "Organized Team Activity" sessions, which get underway on June 1. The Bears also have a three-day mini-camp that begins on Friday.
