19 Colts Entering Final Year of Their Contracts

In the coming months, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning is expected to receive another contract in the neighborhood of $100 million dollars (Manning's entering the final year of a seven-year, $98M extension he signed in 2004), but as Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star points out, Manning is just one of 19 Colts who are entering the final year of their contract.

"You have to be careful with all of your signings to make sure you have enough money to spread around to all of the players," Colts owner Jim Irsay said. "You look at guys like Austin Collie and Pierre Garcon. These are guys you're going to want to keep down the road.

"You've got to make sure you're able to do that."

Not every player with an expiring contract is eligible for unrestricted free agency. For example, Eric Foster is unsigned for 2011, but will have three accrued seasons after 2010, and would be a restricted free agent. Same situation applies to reserve running back Mike Hart.

Here's a look at the key Colts players with expiring contracts, their position, and the age the player will be in March 2011:

(in alphabetical order)

Joseph Addai, RB (27)
Antoine Bethea, S (26)
Melvin Bullitt, S (26)
Keyunta Dawson, DE (25)
Antonio Johnson, DL (26)
Charlie Johnson, OT (26)
Peyton Manning, QB (turns 35 in March)
Daniel Muir, DT (27)
Clint Session, LB (26)
Tony Ugoh, OT (27)
Adam Vinatieri, K (38)

2011 is the final contract year for Colts defensive end Robert Mathis and wide receiver Reggie Wayne, as well as Pierre Garcon.
