Tuff Enough?

If you want a Packer's win tonight, you better hope they are ready to scrap. Countless times this season, myself and readers included (IronMan), have remarked on how the Packers have been more of a finesse team, instead of the smash mouth team we have all become accustomed to.

If there was a ever a game when the muscles need to flex, it's tonight.

If you thought the Vikings or the Cowboys game was pivotal, I think the argument can be made that tonight's game will do more to define this year's team than any other. The Raven's are going to bring toughness like we haven't seen this season. This evening's contest will be won and lost on the point of attack, while the team showing the most grit and tenacity is going to come away with the victory.

You can count on the defensive line, the offensive line, and Ryan Grant needing to play with reckless abandon this evening. But, in all reality the outcome of this game is going to rest on the shoulders of one man and his ability to bring out the fire in his squad.

Mike McCarthy... are they tuff enough?

This will definitely be a very telling game, I think it will show exactly where the Packers are headed.

The answer to that question will tell us all about the remainder of the season. The Packers are in a position to take control of their own playoff destiny. A backward step tonight would just indicate that they can beat the second tier teams, but not the top teams. A loss tonight allows the Bears to get all hyper and plan their usual destruction of MM's Packers at Soldier's Field. Tonight's game must be played with the same reckless abandon as the previous three games. I feel the defense will do their share. The O line and St's? Not so sure! Can the defense win on their own? They are capable of that, but that's a pretty tough task. Give Rodgers some time and they have a good shot at an imprtant win.

Oh, and let's not leave the game on Crosby's foot.

There was the same talk about the Giants in week 17 againts the Patriots 2 years ago, they lost it, and we all know what happened.

I agree with your post, and have been preaching the same thing, actually, but postseason you start from scratch.

Our aim is to get there. How we get there has almost no weight in how things go in there.

This game is a lie.

There will be no running game, just a short passing game.

I do think this game will be very telling. I'm expecting it to be low-scoring and very close. But i would caution about pinning too much on whether the Packers win or lose. If they win, they still have plenty of work to do, and if they lose, they are still tied for the final wild card spot.

What would really disappoint me is if they get dominated physically, like they did against the Vikings.

Well, the answer to the though enough is YES and NO.

Our D is though enough. That is pretty clear to me.

Our O may even be though enough, if MM decides to run now and then, instead of risking stupid ints.

But I'm afraid our ST and Jarrett Bush (Yes, he didn't play as bad, but still...) may be too much to overcome against elite teams.

Our F***ing house! A win laden with penalties on both sides, but a WIN none the less. Just beat the Ravens in prime time in the midst of the wild card race, maybe celebrate a little bit?maybe?

I know, but why do we allways need to make easy games hard? It wa over at half, it should've remained over...

Our team is a big teaser... It sometimes shows it could be the best team in the NFL, but other times...
