None of you probably know this, but this blog has never pissed me off more than it did on March 5th, 2009. On November 9th, 2009 I can finally put it to rest.

On a day when the Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy bashing is at an all time high, I would like to take a brief moment to dig up something from the past. I rarely do the “I’ve been saying all along thing”, like some of those other places, but this time I can’t resist.

Before this year’s draft, in another moment of frustration, I wrote the following:

“I am done supporting Ted Thompson for the foreseeable future. He refuses to take any chances and in return will have very little chance of ever being successful. You can call Ted’s steadfast strategy on the building through the draft even more of a bold move if you want, but I just call it plain stupid.
I am fully prepared for at this point for another season of passionless football (from the players and fans), excuses, free-agents scoffing at visits, and hardly a prime-time game to be found.

Say it’s still too early all you want, but as far as I am concerned we are already in a hole that you can’t dig out of. We don’t go after free-agents, and more importantly they don’t want to come here.

We have no veteran leadership on one side of the ball, and Packer football is becoming about as exciting as watching “What Not to Wear” on TLC.

The whole world is waiting for Ted Thompson to do something, anything. As usual, he is going to do nothing… and take down the 2009 Green Bay Packers accordingly.”

I got hammered by quite a few people but not harder than by the infamous one hit wonder Woody G. I don’t know who Woody is, I think he used to hang out at Cheesehead, but at the time, he had some pretty strong words.

“Your analysis is all based on hind-sight. The easiest analysis possible is to look back & point out all that has been unsuccessful. It’s also an easy cop-out on your part. Go ahead, be done with TT for “now” as you put it. You’ll be back when you fully understand TT’s madness & see that success can be had a number of different ways. Capers, a few affordable FAs and a solid draft is all GB needs to make you eat crow.”

Hind sight huh? What Woody fails to mention is that sometimes using hind-sight is the smartest way to predict the future. I know you guys all like to give Jersey Al the verbal hand job every time he breaks it down with some awesome photo analysis, but I live and breathe this shit every single day, and all I need to do is watch the game and recount the past to make a pretty accurate prediction of the future. It might be easy as you say, but its effectiveness is without question.

Dom Capers hasn’t gotten it done so far, TT’s madness is just that, madness, and Anthony Smith has really made an impact this season.

But, according to Woody football genius extraordinaire, I’ll never get it right.

“You are ill-informed & obviously lack the ability & knowledge to draw solid conclusions about the state of affairs in GB. This is my 1st visit to your blog. I’ve read enough to know that it is also my last visit. Good luck with your low traffic numbers.”

Well Woody, I know you will probably never see this, and quite frankly that makes me happy. But, rest assured, I can draw conclusions with the best of them. I don’t need video, I don’t need still frames, and I don’t need to Twitter with the experts 200 times a day to figure out what is going on.

Right now I’m also willing to say that Mike McCarthy has lost some of the locker room and is killing the team with his playbook, Aaron Rodgers is still a long way off from being elite, and quite possibly we are paying the 30th best receiver in the league, the second highest salary.

Anyway, I digress. The point is I’m not a reporter or an analyst and I don’t pretend to be one. Yet, eight months later I can hardly ignore my original statements…

I can relate. I know shit when I see it. And that's exactly what this team is right now.

I'll admit I was... duped, by the preseason hype. That's only cause I wanted to believe we'd do well. But after the Rams game I was getting sick and tired of the same crap. There's only one solution to our woes, fire Ted and Mike, and lets start moving in the right direction for once. I'm sick of people wanting to live in la-la land and ignore this teams bigger problems... how many times are people gonna say, "come on, it's only been 8 games", yeah it was "only 5 games" before, Some people STILL think we'll make the playoffs, HA, what a joke! This team has NO chance of making the wildcards, not in a million years.

I happen to like '"What not to Wear". And handjobs. Best is a handjob while watching "What not to wear". That chick is hot...

Perhaps I will be labeled "Mr. Irrelevant" (blog version) by bringing this up, but I'm not worried about it. Since we are going to back to questionable roster moves, and player "passion", let me reintroduce Tyrell Sutton, mid-season version......

Sure, I’m biased because I just love this guy. But to me, it’s symptomatic of questions about TT’s and MM’s judgment in getting the KIND of players we need to be a “class” organization. When they fail to see a diamond in the rough (and no so rough at that), and cannot envision how a talented and versatile guy might become a valuable asset, how can they be trusted with the daunting task of building a world-class roster? Even more to the point, since the strategy seems to be “build with youth” and then you walk away from one of the more promising prospects for no good reason — it’s very discouraging.

Now, what has Sutton done with Carolina? Waited. His chance did not even come at RB. Carolina’s two fullbacks are out with injury, and so T-Sutt enters AS A FULLBACK yesterday, sharing time with a 300+ pound guard also playing out of position. Couldn’t have been TOO inadequate as the Panthers gave the Saints a game until they screwed it up late with a couple of fumbles (not by Sutton). Sutton did not fumble, did not drop a pass (caught one, though), and as far as I know did not let his QB get sacked by virtue of blowing an assignment. Not that we could ever use a young guy (with smarts and passion) like that, ever, in the future after the team has it's top down "new look" going for it.

This was the guy who is too small, remember, and didn’t know how to block. So all he does is step in at a position he’s never played and strapped on the helmet. First NFL play… nine yards up the middle. This is from a Panthers commentator, who evaluates the play of their squad and gives Sutton a ^ sign:

" /\ Tyrell Sutton. The mystery of who would start at fullback for the Panthers was answered on the first play of the game, as Sutton tallied a slew of firsts. He was active for his first career NFL game, made his first NFL start, got his first NFL carry and picked up his first nine NFL yards all on the first play of the game. Sutton filled in nicely at fullback for the Panthers, blocking the way for DeAngelo to amass 149 yards on the ground while running for 15 yards on three carries and catching a pass for eleven more. The rookie out of Northwestern didn’t look much like a guy playing in his first NFL game, and with the way the return game is going, I’d be okay with letting him return some kicks once one or both of our fullbacks are back healthy."

So, he’s not Warrick Dunn yet, but he is on his way to (I predict) a stellar career in the NFL. This really is testing my patience. Ironic that Sutton has his first chance on the day the crowd asking for a Packers leadership shake up raises its voice a couple of decibels.

... Yea I'm sorry, but Nagler is leaps and bounds ahead you with his site & overall football knowledge. I always love me some Packer sites, but really when I think of Packers Lounge. The Suck List and its brilliant analysis always pops into my head.

Good for Nagler. Blow me.

It is also interesting to note that Nagler features an article this morning highlighting several things I just got done saying in this article.

But, being a gamer and since your rhetorical analysis of Packer sites is so astute, I have a proposition.

Put together a list of questions about the state of affairs in Green Bay. Also, be specific. You send me and Nagler a copy and I will gladly give my take. I guarantee, our responses are nearly identical.

If you're going to act like a bitch, then you should be treated like a bitch. Dedicating a post to a single blogger who made a comment on March 5th(?) is pretty fucking petty. Last time I checked there was no football being played then you jackass, but yet because Ted didn't go get Canty or whoever the fuck that was out there, you act like a whiney bitch. I guess it was only a matter of time before I layed into you for your half assed writing. Now I know why Nagler threw that dig your way awhile back.

You always blast Nagler, and I thought it was right to tell you how it is. Plain and simple. His site and analysis is leaps and bounds better than yours IMO. Your site stays afloat because of certain contributors not named Alex.

.. but really you are grasping at straws with your little " proposition. " Thats the difference between you & I. I don't pretend to have all the answers. I don't pretend to know more then I really do. If you were so damn smart then why the hell are you running some 2 bit blog & not the Packers? Shit, why aren't you employed by an NFL team? Watching NFL games doesn't make you qualified to run an NFL organization... But I guess since " you live and breathe this shit every single day " that makes you fit to run the Packers, right?

Not as funny as your worthless insight, but keep trying. The sun has to shine on a dogs ass sometimes, right? You will get it right one day. Keep plugging away.

Taking shots at my family members? Funny thing is I GUARANTEE you would never say that shit to my face. So heres my proposition for you. Next time I attend a Packer game I'll shoot you an email, and we can meet up and see who the real man is.

Keep begging for hand outs to keep this piece of shit site going, you pos. Yea, you're a real man. A cyber panhandler. now thats some funny shit. Real men beg according to the genius that is Alex!

Keep riding the coat tails of Jersey Al, Greg C, etc... Anybody with half a brain knows that without them you wouldn't have a pot to piss in you bitch made punk.

You're running a sinking ship.

Is this seriously a "meet IRL" comment about a flame war? Get your salt together, son, and start bringing some real posting rather than falling back on the territory of 13 year old tough guys and "gangstas." Pathetic.

SHIT SON...

Man, I really love me some other sites, but, I haven't got gratification like this ANYWHERE! The Verbal slurpers are many. I have no problem giving credit where it's due, BUT, F'ing right man! I don't need "experts" to break down my team for me. If they're spending more time following the GBP than I, I sure hope they're collecting a paycheck, 'cause I've got a disease. That being said, this team is middle of the road, a real letdown (in my mind at least). This will mark the 1st week I EVER picked against the GBP in my office pool (even when I knew they would lose I'd pick them, NO MORE). This is also the 1st time i've bet against the GBP. I thought it would be harder than it was. I've seen enough of this team, Dallas covers... easily. I'll gladly take a hit to the wallet if I'm wrong, just don't see it. If I gotta sit through this shit on Sundays, I'm gonna get paid!

This is really quite amazing. I haven't been back to your ridiculous blog since March 5th as you stated..... I just happen to click on your pitiful link & saw my ID...... How sad is it that all you have to blog about is a poster from many months ago ?

" I don’t need video, I don’t need still frames, and I don’t need to Twitter with the experts 200 times a day to figure out what is going on. "

You still have nothing here so you must need something. Maybe a different cocktail of meds will help......... You were an idiot in March........ You still are........ It has nothing to do with the Packers.
