Guess there had to be something behind closed doors. I know he has been hurt, but I thought he had potential. Don't understand the move.

I can't believe they cut him and kept summers.

Summers shut down the middle of the field in the nfccg against Brady in the second half when they put him in .

I think we were watching different games. They put him in in the 4th quarter, gave up a big thrid down to Godwin over the middle of the field, was present during the two interceptions but hardly had anything to do with them as the pressure and coverage downfield were mitigating factors, then he was out of position on another big screen pass to Gronkowski which went for a big gain and led to a field goal. He hardly erased anything.

Knee injury robbed him of his explosiveness. He obviously hasn't recovered completely. Too bad, I was hoping he would develop.

Kamal was not assignment sure and therefore was a liability.

That never stopped them before. Martinez was never "assignment sure" but they kept him because he was a tackling machine. ILB seems lost in every defense we have had since the days of Nick Barnett and AJ Hawk were a tandem.

Andy Herman recently posted grading Martin as lowest grades LB last year and through preseason. Barry may be placing more value in executing assignments; reducing risks of exposure of pulling off big plays against the D? Athletic, aggressive play can be a positive in certain calls, but all have to “fit” in their piece of the puzzle. Execution of individual assignments critical to success - O and D. One broken assignment is all it takes.
