This is not surprising. I have to say I never expected Mercilus back. Given the tight salary cap situation whatever veteran salary they would spend on him probably would be (should be) spent on a younger, probably drafted player. I fully expect his roster spot to be taken by said younger player. Now if they get through the draft and don’t get a pass rusher perhaps they will sign a veteran type. Like it or not the Packers are all in on draft and develop approach.
