The Vikings drafted kicker Blair Walsh in the sixth round of the recently completed 2012 NFL Draft.
Longwell was the kicker for the Packers from 1997 through 2005.
Adam Caplan of TheSidelineView.com writes...
Longwell had 3 years left on deal. Signed a 4-yr, $12 million deal last year. Deal included a $3.5 SB, so they'll take on some dead money.

So the Q is, which ex-Packer do they sign to keep their Packer-West franchise, Howard Green, Ryan Grant, or ?

The Vikings are too pathetic now to mention. The Lions are the new Vikings. Hence, Grant will be a Lion, and have a couple of decent years.
