Three Thoughts On Three Rookies

1. For all the negative press he got this week, Brandon Jackson looked like he could play. Now, he didn't have to pick up one blitz all night (his supposed glaring weekness) but he looked sharp running the ball, read one blitz correctly and leaked out into the flat for a big pickup. It's only a scrimmage, and camp's only a week old, but if he can contine to improve every week, the Packers could at least have one servicable running back.\\

2. Justin Harrell played two plays and looked good on both. He shed a block and stuffed a run, and then knocked down a pass at the line of scrimmage when he couldn't get to the quarterback. Which is all well and good. But two plays? The coddling of our first round pick continues...

3. James Jones is as good live as what's been written about him so far. He is big and has good hands. Let's hope he continues to improve and that he and Favre use the preseason to build some chemistry together.
