Good - Just to go a different direction, how about Gutey? Maybe some apologies are owed to him by someone. Man down, next man up.

Bad: AR, looking off again.

Ugly: DK Crybaby Metcalfe - I've never seen anyone try to run on the field after being ejected. That's a new one for me.

MarkinMadison, I agree Gutey is a good choice.

In addition to Gutey, I think that way the coaches coach the non-starters has a huge bearing. Every one on the 69 member team seem to be coached with that in mind. The Practice Squad members also are not there for the scenery, instead everyone seems to be coached such that they know exactly what needs to be done. This seems to be especially true for the Defense.

The players must also be feeling it. Other that the first 2 games or so, that would explain why the second man up, and even the third and fourth man up, know their assignments and exactly what needs to be done. Thus there does not seem to be any fall off in performance.

Hats off to Gute for getting the right personnel, and the locker room culture that makes the players feel and play like that.

Mark,
I agree about Gutey!

Ever since all the offseason Rodgers drama and the whispers Rodgers wanted Gutey gone I have repeatedly stated 'Gutey brings much more value to the Packers than Rodgers, and that he will for many years after Rodgers is gone'.

The man is a chess master always thinking several moves in advance. Ron Wolf made it into the HOF and should Gutey continue doing what he has done along with winning a few SB's he too may end up there. Certainly would not surprise me!

Metcalfe may not have known he was ejected from the game, after his face mask grabs. Glad he got tossed. I do not see why Savage got a taunting call on that same play. Metcalfe held Savage's facemask as well as Stokes's facemark on that same play. What a douche bag! How do two fouls on Seattle and only one on GB, on the same play, offset each other?

Good - The Secondary. Stokes, King, Douglas, and safeties were dynamite. Even with Wilson running around trying to buy time, they held their coverages.

Bad - Rodger's accuracy. His timing you could tell was off. He missed a lot of throws he usually makes that lead receivers in the right direction, but instead the passes were behind, had too much air, or right at the worst coverage safety in the game.

Ugly - Seahawks discipline and coaching. Pete Carroll is not the guy for that team anymore. From a poor challenge decision to two of his star players getting personal fouls, it was a bad look in the fourth for the gum chewing guy who ran away from USC when the going got tough.

Rodgers two deep under thorrows are probably TDs if they are on. MVS made a great play just to catch one. Sadly Lazard droed the deep throw Rodgers nailed. I think it's time to be done with the idea Rodgers doesn't need to practice or play at all in preseason.

Very true! Rodgers has been off all year with deep throws. If someone pulled the stats regarding deep throws they wouldn't be pretty. At what point does age factor in?

The deep throw Lazard dropped over the middle was late and, partly as a result, short. The result nearly got Lazard killed. An earlier pass and he’s wide open with a chance to split the defenders. Lazard’s’ bad drop was much shorter, at the beginning of the second half.

To be fair...their were a lot of drops yesterday...some due to vicious hits by Seattle. The Lazard first down drop was a smack I thought would leave him on the ground. I was surprised he got up...several teammates ran over to him to see if he was OK.

The Good: Defense, AJ Dillon, ML calling Quadzilla runs at the goal-line
The bad: Yep, Rodgers' INT
The Ugly: Injuries. Metcalf behavior - hope he gets a very stiff fine.

The most satisfying: Zero, zilch, nada, nought: the hated Seahawks' score. The only thing that would be more satisfying than that would be to hold them to zero in Seattle.

The good: The smug look of defeat on Pete Carroll's face, AJ Dillon being an absolute animal, dynamite cornerback play, Adrian Amos getting his hands on 4 different balls today, 3 of which should've been picks, pocket containment despite injuries to our major pass rushers, again, and last but not least I give it to Rodgers. He didn't play his best game, but coming back after 10 days of no practice, had Lazard not dropped 3 balls and Jones another two, Rodgers throws for close to 400 yards. That's not bad for a guy who just got over a viral infection with no practice.

The bad: field position. We have to find a way to not get pinned within our own 20, seen that far too much this season. Offensive line, namely Patrick and Newman, again. I can't believe they haven't found a replacement for Newman as he let another guy run free at Rodgers which has happened in every game this year. Unacceptable.

The ugly: injuries, injuries, injuries. As if all of of our offensive weapons weren't enough, now it's hitting Jones. Every starter except for Newman and Turner has missed time this season. Also being down to two healthy pass rushers with only 3 healthy defensive lineman on the team, horrible. Did I mention DK Metcalf? Who throws 3 punches and comes back into the huddle? That should've been an immediate ejection and escort off of the field.

Takeaway: the defense came up big, again, and man with all of the injuries piling up they're still hammering home. Incredible. Wilson is 0-5 at lambeau and I'm loving every loss he gets there more and more. The offense needs to get healthy, and yesterday. They are out of sync.

Newman's now getting targeted, isn't he, and Patrick isn't bullish enough to cover him. At least we know that the solution is close for this problem.

Pass rush next week is going to be interesting. When Gary and Mercilus went down was the only time that Wilson was able to use his mobility.

Campbell did a great job in the spy role keeping Wilson from climbing the pocket. He's probably the one injury that this defense can't afford

The Good-The whole secondary, Dean Lowry, Rashan Gary, Devondre Campbell, Kenny Clark, AJ Dillon and Aaron Jones. Defense won this game, this unit is legit.

The Bad-Rodgers Accuracy, Lazard's 4 drops, Royce Newman, Mason Crosby-that snap and hold looked fine this time, The end zone pick was terrible, that was a rookie mistake.

The Ugly- Rashan Gary's injury

I think many fans should apologize to Jordan Love, too. Who would say that QB with 17 years of experience would made rookie QB mistake and throw that INT. I understand intention. Aaron Rodgers wanted to throw the ball behind gold zone, but with his experience he should know that it is very, very unlikely that ball will finish where he intended to throw.

Good: complete D (players, coaches, DC!), Quadzilla, DA, Jenkins and Turner, Cobb

Bad: Aaron Rodgers aka Diva, Deguara, Patrick

Ugly: Injuries (Mercillus, Rashan, Aaron Jones), D(ic)K, passing game, P Carroll

I'll need to re-watch to verify, but I think that Rodgers got bumped while he was throwing - which didn't help. Either way, I'd have felt more comfortable if that target was Big Dawg where Rodgers could have thrown a ball that only he could high-point. Deguara "only" being 6"2' was not a good target given how covered he was.

The Good:
~King's pick and Amos's pick in the end zone.
~Improvement on special team play. Kudos? No. Improvement? Yes.
~Tampa and Arizona both choked.
~Defense - Shutting Out the Sea Hawks (first ever for Wilson)
~Defense - Entire squad, great effort and team play
~FullBack - Give him the game ball......... "DOWNHILL" DILLON !!!

The bad:
~Losing Jones and Gary.
~Mason?! Fans now gasp and have white knuckles clutching their beer or chair when you walk out on the field. Which Crosby will show up today? the one we have been spoiled with or this guy?
~Aaron Rogers, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and NOT putting this in the ugly column (Except for one play.) since he has been benched for 10 days. But it's been an all year trend. Missed and off passes, throwing behind receivers way more than we are accustomed to seeing.

The Ugly:
~The injury. Watching Rashan Gary flop around in horrible pain.
~Metcalf shows his true thug colors.
~Aaron Roger's "HONGO" throw and Interception. This was as ugly as it gets out of Rogers. Cost the team 3 to 7Pts. Stupid pass and deserved to have it picked.

The wrap up:
Watching the game in the first half was choking me and did not seem to be going well. 3 nothing at the half, really?. 3rd Q. things started to take shape and get momentum, Defense seemed to get stronger. Dillon's first TD allowed us to breathe and the second put the nail in the coffin of the Sea Hawks. The entire game was like a one hill roller-coaster ride, slow uphill start, then over the top with gaining momentum until everyone is screaming with excitement... WTG Guys !

You're spot-on about Rodgers - his play has begun to go downhill this year. Could be Father Time, could be a distracting off-season (in a good way for him - he's engaged, after all), could be neither. But I think it's best if we cut bait this offseason - the one thing I don't want to see is the team tied to a financial boat-anchor of a declining QB for the next several years.

No, Cory, AR will NOT be playing at a high level for the next four years.

Jurp,
His play certainly will not be ascending, particularly if Adam's is no longer around.

The real key is what will be the difference (quality) in play from a slowly deteriorating Rodgers year after year and an ascending talent in Love? Throw in the financial (Rodgers) anchor, and all the players and draft choices the Pack would get for Rodgers and it should be a no brainer. Love will be starting at QB next year. I just hope he continues to get a little more playing time experience.

If he really is in decline (something that is hard to be certain of until it is too late), then the path to can’t play is usually quite steep. Let’s chalk this one up to rust and let it play out.

We can chalk this game up to rust, but what about the rest of the season. We’re something like 20th in scoring offense, and we aren’t very good in the red zone. I can attribute some of it to the makeshift line, but not all of it.

In 2019, we got good QB play and we were an average offense. In 2020, we got MVP play at QB and we were the best offense in the league. This year, we’re an average offense again. I absolutely think Rodgers isn’t as good as last year. He has more accuracy issues and he fails to see open guys.

You are 100% correct when you point out that it’s a short, quick trip from declining to can’t play, and that’s what it looks like to me. He’ll lead us to the title or he won’t, but his MVP days are over.

Good -
So much good you have to love this team!
Joe Barry a defensive genius?...
Cambell defensive player of the year?...
The secondary, yes, even King.
Dillon a beast.
Rodgers. I disagree about Rodgers being bad, just wasn't his normal greatness, but sure feels comfortable having him under center. We're so spoiled that an interception makes us all go, What!! That's unacceptable!
Adams, Amos, Gary, Clark, Savage, Stokes... only up 3-0 at half but felt we dominated.

Bad -
Thomas and Patrick. At least, hopefully, they won't be there for the playoffs, and even now I'd bench Thomas, play Nijman at tackle, and return Jenkins to the middle.
#2 receivers, Lazard and MVS are not quality NFL starters. Two catches between them. "Told you so" for all those who gave me a year's full of thumbs down for saying signing OBJ was a priority. Lazard had drops but they were contested because he can't get separation. MVS still a one-trick pony, go long. Sometimes it hits and people get their hopes up but he's just bad. I'd try whoever we have on the practice squad.
Tight ends. More reason why we needed OBJ, losing Tonyan means Rodgers has no safety valve or red zone threat. I think Deguara will develop but he's not there yet and seems confused.

Ugly -
Injuries. If you're a Packer All-Pro or one of the top players on the team you go down. Enough!
FG unit. Crosby, the snapper, holder... What the hell's going on out there!
Me... for complaining so much. With all the drama surrounding this team and the injuries, we're 8-2! Regardless of how this season ends I'm just going enjoy it.

Is Myers done for the seasons at Center? I think when Bahk comes back, we'll see Runyan at LG, with Jenkins at Center. Use Nijman on the left side, if needed. Newman needs to block at RG and Turner works at RT.

"Lazard and MVS are not quality NFL starters."

Well, MVS was targeted 2 times - first time 41 yards (slightly overthrown, when he cought the ball, he stumbled a little because he had to go for the ball high, that is why D cought him), second time badly overthrown. He did marvelous job in blocking for the coleagues - WR, TE or RB.

Lazard had bad game, but claiming Lazard does not have value for this team is ridiculous. He is even better blocker than MVS and, generaly looking, he had 2 bad drops. Rest of his drops was badly placed balls from Diva you admire. His speed and potential danger of long TD moves a safety from Davante.

Davante also "dropped" few passes. I remember well one of those passes for 12-14 yards in the middle of the field. Davante was open 5 yards around was nobody. Pass was thrown at the feet of the running receiver. Can you explain how that ball can be cought while running?

Croat, they may both be "marvelous" blockers but they are miserable receivers. With maybe the best QB in history throwing to them, there are 80 receivers and even 25 tight ends with more receiving yards than Lazard.

MVS is even worse in total yards. Granted he's been out five games, but in the five games he has played he has 9 catches. Nine catches all year! He's basically a decoy. Time to try someone else.
