Starks, Jennings Take Part In Practice
Only Chad Clifton was held out of today's Packers practice, while Calvin Johnson left practice for the Lions.

Both running back James Starks and wide receiver Greg Jennings participated in today's practice, though they appeared limited. Both took part in individual drills. The team portion of practice was closed to the media.
Meanwhile, offensive tackle Marshall Newhouse, outside linebacker Clay Matthews, offensive guard Josh Sitton and outside linebacker Frank Zombo, who all appeared on Monday's approximated injury report, were seemingly full participants.
And one interesting note from Lions practice today - Detroit's star wide receiver Calvin Johnson left the practice field with a trainer, reportedly to deal with a nagging ankle injury. Johnson did return to observe practice.
Obviously, this bears monitoring.

If Megatron doesn't play, I'll happily eat my shorts rather than Turkey.
And I can't imagine Starks being ready to fill a minimal role. Let's go Grant! Even 3.5 ypc would be great Thursday.

I would be suprised to see them not use Rodgers heavy in a dome. Might see a game plan similar to the NY Giants game in 2008. Not the championship game but the regular season game. They used a quick, short game to take the Giants down. It was very effective and completly neutralized the Giants pass rush. They started that way in the NFC Championship game moved the ball early. Then for some reason stopped.

Hard to believe the info on the injured was spot on. You can,t fault teams for playing the misinformation game. Sure is frustrating to hear info and find out later that it was faulse. Kind of believe Johnson will play, no excuses for the defense to sleepwalk through this one. They had a big letdown against Tampa after the score went 14-0.

Yeah, I don't think there is any way Megatron sits out on Thursday. Biggest game of their season, and Stafford has little hope without CJ out there.

Megatron can be minimized with bracket coverage; its Pettigrew and the running game that are the most threatening. K. Smith and M. Morris are not top-notch backs, but have had success against the Pack.
We'll still win! 42-24; Stafford will be the 8th Detroit quarterback to throw 5 interceptions in one game.

"Minimized" being the operative word. The Cowboys had THREE guys on Johnson and he still caught that TD pass down in Dallas.

Well it kind of like letting Adrian Peterson run. Let him get 70-80 yards; avoid big plays; negate everyone else and you get the W.
I haven't followed megatron too much, but it seems like his numbers have dropped from the early season, as teams have figured him out.

From my couch, it seems the Packers tend to contain big time WRs fairly well. It's TEs that burn them - especially when a guy like Bishop is forced to cover them 1 on 1.

I don't know if Vincent Jackson, Steve Smith, and Brandon Lloyd would agree with that.
By my count, the Pack have played 4 teams with a legit #1WR this year, and 3 of 4 times, that WR killed them.
NO - No #1 (IMO Colston isnt a true #1, but he had 81 yards)
Car - Smith had huge game
CHI - No #1
DEN - Lloyd had huge geame
ATL - Stopped White, but who hasnt?
STL - No #1
MIN - No #1
SD - VJax had a huge game
MIN - No #1
TB - No #1

I'd argue that no WR has "killed" the Packers this year.
VJax is the only guy I recall having a huge game. What were Smith's numbers?

Smith: 6 for 156
Lloyd: 8 for 136
Big games, sure, but neither had a TD. That's bigger.

Well, not "killed" in the sense that they beat us, but you know what I'm saying.
And it's a fair point that two of those guys didn't have TDs, but those are still big days.
Just saying that I think there is some precedent for pro bowl WRs like Johnson having big days on the Pack this year.
