Ryan Grant shares a favorite Brett Favre story

The former Packers running back joined Aaron Nagler for the Cheesehead TV watch party during Monday Night Football.

Ryan Grant was great during the watch party during Monday Night Football, giving lots of insight and telling some great stories of his time with the Packers.

This story, when asked about a favorite Farve memory, was one of my favorites.

You can watch a replay of the entire watch party below. Be sure to subscribe to the Cheesehead TV YouTube channel for all the latest.

THE PACKERS PROPHET's picture

This is such a cool thing for cheesehead tv to do. Ryan Grant is one of my favorite players, and being a TYMBRID his perspective is one I value and cherish. (TYMBRIDs are players that are hybrids of two significantly different time periods. This case Favre to Rodgers era.)

One of my favorite past times is listening to players tell their favorite Favre stories. He always has been my hero. Growing up I always felt a stronger bond with RG than most players. You see, when I would play madden franchise mode growing up, I of course wanted to create myself as a player. Most people made themselves a QB. Well being a Packer I’ve never experienced room for improvement in that category. So I always made myself a running back. Being an all time innovative madden schemer/play caller, we ran heavy two back sets to start drives and usually operated a no huddle attack. Although I personally would end up in the slot during a lot of play, our base offense was shotgun with two backs or a pistol formation of some sort with RG as the deep back. So for years me and RG went to war sharing a backfield. And to bring it full circle, this approach caused us to use a fullback much less than normal. So both of our stories involve a disgruntled John Khun.
