Rodgers Doesn't Feed into Jennings Talk

Coming on the heels of head coach Mike McCarthy's comments yesterday that "When you put on that purple, something happens to you," Aaron Rodgers was asked about his former teammate Greg Jennings following the first day of Green Bay Packers training camp practice on Friday.

Jennings has made several comments to numerous media outlets not-so-subtly critiquing both the Packers quarterback and the Green Bay organization as a whole. On several occasions, Jennings has referred to Rodgers as "12" or "that guy they have now" instead of his name.

"You know what? To me, I'm concerned with the opinions of the guys in this locker room and the guys we have here," said Rodgers on Friday. "We've got 90 guys right now. It's exciting to be one of the leaders of this football team. I'm very confident in my style. I think the guys respond well to it. It's fun being the oldest, longest-tenured guy on the team. I've seen a lot, been around a lot, learned a lot of lessons. And I think one of the lessons you learn is that you can't control everything, and you shouldn't worry too much about the things that are said outside the building. You worry about the opinions of your teammates and how they feel about you."

Jennings is showing just what a selfish player he is. "That Guy or "Number 12" is the one who won your ass a SB Ring. Brett Farve, who all of a sudden you have all this admiration for is the one who threw the ball to Cory Webster on like the 2nd play of OT in the NFC Championship game! Jennings received no action in Free Agency. What, all 31 other teams are wrong? What happened to playing in Miami? Seems to me you and your sister were so sure that was going to happen Greg. But noooo, Ted offered you 10 million and you thought you were worth more. In the end you ended up with 8 million a year. Your coming across as a greedy bitter player...Again!

Agree Nick, Jennings is all about Jennngs. No clASS. Now Bishop showed a lot of class after being released said he understood and had no bad feelings toward the Packers. It will be interesting to see how Bishop performs this season. If he stays healthy TT made a big mistake releasing him.

Rodgers doesn't need to buy into all the gamesmanship. He's at the top of the heap and everyone is just trying to knock him off.
Few players ever get this position and he needs to ride it as long as he can.

One or two more rings for Rodgers would put him into the ring of the legends

To put in ex-"85" (now "15") language..
I can think of 45 million reasons why you should thank "12" every night before you go to bed. Without "12" you would just be an average football player. Let's see how long your "team, team, team" approach lasts when "7" can't get you the ball and your stats fall, fall, fall. Only a selfish, classless, unprofessional player slams a team he formally played for.

What a baby. Still pissed no one offered him a bigger contract while Rodgers signs a huge extension. Hey Jennings, I think you left your pacifier at Lambeau!
