A good dline can help cover deficiencies in the middle, so I take this as a first step in shoring up run D. OF course they have to pass drug tests and be healthy.

Contract details almost exactly as I expected from TT. Structure and guaranteed money very team friendly. Guion's contract especially has no guaranteed money and half the money is subject to being active on game day.

Raji is still being overpaid, but at least the structure of Raji's contract is team friendly. The $1.75 million cap number is just making use of an accounting trick. If Raji plays as TT expects, during reconciliation after the season his cap number would be figured at $3.5 million, more if he earns his incentives.
Doesn't seem like Guion's legal problems cost him money on an annual basis. Many were guessing he'd make $3 to at most $4 million per year. His legal problems probably cost him a longer term contract and signing bonus.

Raji has a one year deal that will result in cap hits in 2 years if he makes it past final cuts.
Yet another reason that I hope the Packers are carefully observing Raji in TC to ensure he's motivated to perform. I'd hate it if they are racking up 2016 cap hits at the rate of $110k per 2015 game for Raji to play like he's wearing roller skates, as was the case for Raji in 2012 & 2013.

Hank, we essentially agree regarding Raji, except I think he is capable of having a good season. I just don't think he likes football. So Danny might laugh if Raji has a good year, but it's really the year after Raji pockets a big signing bonus that would concern me.
I don't think it matters much whether some of Raji's cap hit affects the 2016 cap, since TT rolls over quite a bit most years. If all $3.5 million had hit this year's cap, it only would have meant that TT would have rolled a bit less over into 2016. I am just happy that a significant percentage of Raji's contract has to be earned. I never saw whether Raji got a split contract. Should have.

Yup, we certainly seem to see Raji the same way, Reynoldo.
I've never denied his talent. Just his desire.

I'm going out on a limb and predicting Raji has close to a Pro Bowl season.
Or fails to make the team.
One of those two....
