Report: Packers Offer Tender to Safety Sean Richardson
According to an NFL source, #Packers have tendered S Sean Richardson at ROFR; one-year, $1.542 million. Big commitment to him.

Richardson signed with the Packers in 2012 as an undrafted free agent. As a current restricted free agent, Richardson can still negotiate with other teams, but the Packers have the right to sign any offer he receives.

Now increase his role, please.

I agree that Richardson has shown enough to warrant more snaps.
I think he has got to be in the discussion about what to do at dime LB if they don't find a guy that can cover. I'm not sure he would be the best option. But he might be able to be useful in that role in some situations.
Was he used in the NASCAR package? I thought that was 5 LB & 6 DBs. His size would make him a good fit to be one of the DBs.

Yep, I've seen him in the Nascar package and heavy run packages.

I don't think Richardson is worth $1.52 million. I would not have tendered him. Maybe GB thinks Sean can be a ST's ace and even find a position to play in sub packages.

I think maybe Hank was on to something, he's someone who can help close to the LOS and help in sub packages. I think this kid could be the next "Really Good" UDFA found by TT. He might be the next Bush on ST, which would be pretty damn good.
