Report: Benson Expected To Miss Up To 8 Weeks, Could Be Lost For Season
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the running back has a Lisfranc foot injury.

Adam Schefter reported the below at halftime of tonight's Monday Night Football game between the Jets and the Texans:
Cedric Benson has a Lisfranc foot injury expected to sideline him eight weeks and could end his season if doctors determine he needs surgery

Obviously, this would be a major blow for a Packers offense that seemed to have finally found a rhythm with Benson in the backfield.
Second year back Alex Green and veteran James Starks figure to carry the load from here on out, along with fullback John Kuhn.

For the best. This team is not built to give a guy 20 carries a game, the way Benson requires. Maybe now they'll adapt back to their 2010 offensive ways.

I thought we had all reached a special place where we all agreed that the Packers need a running game, and AR needs to take check-downs, because defensive coordinators have dissected the 2010/2011 Packers, and if the Packers don't adjust AR will get his head ripped off? I know you'll probably school me on this one, but there was no real running game in 2010, right?
For what we have left, my money is on Alex Green. And bring on Brandon Saine. Starks is Justin Harrell without the burden of the 1st round tag.
