Report: Bears' McCown On Track To Start Vs. Packers

From ESPN Chicago's Jeff Dickerson:

The Chicago Bears are giving recently acquired quarterback Josh McCown a chance to win the starting job against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, according to multiple sources.

If McCown performs well enough during practice this week, he will get the start, according to the sources.

Caleb Hanie, who Packers fans will remember from his appearance in the NFC Championship game, has started the past four games for the Bears, all of them losses.

Were he to start on Sunday, McCown would become the Bears 21st starting quarterback in the last 15 years.

If they also fire their coach, we're screwed. ;)

And McCown would be the fifth qb to start for Chicago in the Aaron Rogers era.

Guess I'd rather have injuries at the T position than the QB position. Or in the case of the Bears, both.
