The girl pushed at him first then he hit her with all his might . He could have walked away or just put his hands up , he did not . I would not draft him . I don't care how good he is.

It's amazing how people think that they know all of the intimate details of an incident from watching a few seconds of soundless video. You have no idea as to what occurred prior to the pushing/hitting.

Not saying that Mixon was in the right. Just don't appreciate random, uninformed speculation from people who are clueless as to what actually happened.

Any excuse that he was 'young' is pathetic. Kids learn decency in grade-school, so by college-age, you have it or you don't. He demonstrated unmeasured violence, and that is evidence of pathological anger issues. Football isn't exactly a place to heal pathological anger.

No one deserves a second-chance. You have to earn a second chance.
Let his girlfriend decide about second chances.

No to Mixon, unless he made demonstration of transformation, and willingness to submit to some strong mentoring, or other good stuff.

But the NFL is also not supposed to be society's tool for punishment either.

Admittedly, I am not very familiar with details. I'm glad TT/MM invited him in for a conversation. Hopefully they were frank about the pathological anger, and if they feel he has made the transformation, and he demonstrates this, then that is thus earned, not 'owed'.

Obviously you are totally unfamiliar with the details since she wasn't his girlfriend. But don't let that stop you from practicing amateur psycology by diagnosing "pathological anger". Or stop you from regaling us with your idiotic theories of when and where decency is learned.

Whatever your concept of "decency" is has no place in an enlightened society.

Yeah, I already said I'm not that familiar with this case. Not sure what I said to provoke that kind of response from you. Just saying my opinion as much as anyone else. Some take an absolute no, because of the incident. Others say, its all about football. I think there is room for a person to still play football, but it isn't a 'right' to give second chances as some imply.

"Provoking" was not involved. Merely pointing out that your opinions about when decency develops and anger issues are uninformed.

He was in no danger from the young lady , I doubt her aggression put fear into him , yet he retaliated with all his might. Forget him , another pampered thug given a free pass in college because he is good at football .
