Q&A with Jerron McMillian

From the NFL Combine back in February...

Question: What's your reaction to the number of small-school guys at the Combine?

Jerron McMillian: "It’s the heart that we have to get to where the elite players, as you would say, are,
and we can compete like they can compete."

Q: Could you have imagined this five years ago?

McMillian: "No, you always hope and wish that you’ll go to the combine but when it actually happens,
it’s a good thing; it’s a good feeling."

Q: What was your reaction to the Combine invite?

McMillian: "I found out the beginning of February; I was shocked. I wasn’t sure if it was real or not so I had to double-check my email, and then I had to make the phone call to make sure that I got the email, that I made it to the combine. I got all the paperwork, (thought) ‘this really is about to happen.’"

Q: What do you want to show people?

McMillian: "I’m just trying to show people that I’m capable of competing with the top players and that
I’m willing to get the job done wherever I may go."
