Pro Day Roundup: Lousiana, North Dakota State

The Packers recently attended the University of Louisiana and North Dakota State pro day workouts to check out future NFL prospects.

News is rolling in on a couple of stops on the pro day circuit where representatives of the Green Bay Packers have been checking out some future pro prospects...

  • University of Louisiana: The top prospect is safety Maurice Rolle Jr. who said the Packers are among the teams showing the most interest in him. The 6-1, 197 pound defensive back ran a 4.47 40-yard dash last week. Also getting some attention is a Cajun offensive lineman. "Green Bay Packers scout Alonzo Highsmith worked out former Cajun offensive tackle Jonathan Decoster separately in drills afterward," writes reporter Joshua Parrot of the Advertiser of Lafayette, La. "Decoster was a four-year starter at right tackle in college but will likely play guard in the pros at 6-4, 309 pounds."
  • North Dakota State: The Packers checked out another offensive lineman in Fargo, N.D. by the name of Michael Arndt. "At 6-foot-6 and 319 pounds, Arndt has the size," writes Jeff Kolpack of the Dickinson Press. "On Monday, scouts from the Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks put him through agility and strength tests." Arndt had a 40 time of 5.45 seconds and put up 19 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press.
