Quarterbacks and WRs:

• Darrius Shepherd with a TD catch for second straight week. He just keeps doing what he needs to give himself a shot at that 53.  Wood
• Boyle is absolutely fearless. That throw to Tonyan was amazing. Missed on Shep there though. Shep had a step. Should have been a td.  Herman
• Lazard with another Bang Post. Keep in mind during the regular season DB’s would play with inside leverage due to his marginal speed. Fun to watch now.  Eye in the Sky

• Jake Kumerow has 5 catches and 5 first downs this preseason.  Kruse
• Great read by Kizer on the blitz. Sees the corner blitz and takes the easy yards. Well done.  Herman

• Another great second reaction play from Darrius Shepherd. He'd be on my 53 and I wouldn't think twice about it.  Kruse

Tight Ends:

• Matt LaFleur has to know Jimmy Graham can't block inline, right? No more trying to fit this square peg in a round hole. He can't do it.  Kruse  [This is the Tra Carson for 3 yards behind the LG play, not the play with the penalty below.]
• Baltimore declined the 15-yard penalty on Jimmy Graham. Which I get, kind of. You take the third-and-15. Only thing is, this makes for a much easier field goal. Of course, this is preseason, so none of this matters.  Wood

Running Backs:

• Darrin Hall (finally) enters, and provides some spark to the run game. He's got 33 yards on 3 carries. Carson has 9 yards on 6 carries.  Wood
• Now that’s the Dexter Williams we were expecting.  Herman [Big hole on the right side, Williams with a nice little cutback to exploit it.]
• Dexter Williams has a lot of talent, but that's (dropped passes) been his bugaboo. Another dropped pass. Had some green out ahead of him, too.  Wood

Defensive Backs:

• Tony Brown made the play, tipping pass into the air for Curtis Bolton to pick.  Wood
• Sullivan is going to lose sleep all night about being beat for a touchdown that he should’ve picked off.  Eye in the Sky [Eh, bang, bang play.  Bit of a hot take unless they are talking about a different play?]
• Jaire Alexander, who got away with a hold (it's only a penalty if they call it, right?), really needs to catch that pick. Not an easy play, but that's the jump he's got to make in his second season. Difference in three points on the scoreboard.  Wood [Always thought lack of INTs is why Shields wasn’t given more consideration in discussions about elite CBs.]
• CB Chandon Sullivan, who's having a good camp, a little too aggressive against Ravens WR Chris Moore, and he paid for it. Nice pass from Trace McSorley, but no reason that should've been a TD.  Wood [Same play as above.]

Safety:

• Really good coverage by rookie Darnell Savage down the left sideline crowding Hayden Hurts. Lamar Jackson had nowhere to fit that ball.  Wood
• Another missed tackle. That time by Savage & an extra 8 ish yards off the missed tackle.  Herman
• Will Redmond has missed at least two tackles tonight.  Kruse
• Our first real look at Darnell Savage. That was really solid coverage from the rookie.  Herman  [Not sure if that’s the same play as Wood above – might be as both were written early in the game.]
• Josh Jones isn't playing again tonight. Becoming pretty clear he's not going to be on the team come Week 1.  Kruse [But see Demovsky below as to the meaning of Josh Jones not playing.]

Linebackers:

• Really nice pass rush by Preston Smith here. A little hesitation with strong hands to quickly get to Jackson but the ball was out.  Herman
• Randy Ramsey has something just not sure where he plays long term.  Eye in the Sky [PS?]
• NFL LBs under 235: Darius Leonard Jayon Brown Thomas Davis Deion Jones Kwon Alexander Myles Jack Guys, it's not 1996 anymore we do not need to be obsessing about the chase linebacker's weight and ability to get off blocks in a league that throws the ball 60% of the time.  Uglem
• Bolton's the second-best linebacker on the roster when everyone's healthy.  Uglem [Watch him shoot the gap here.]
• That’s 5 missed tackles for Summers. Was close to 6 on the play before if the rb didn’t trip. Basically the exact antithesis of his game last week.  Herman
• Justice Hill just embarrassed Kyler Fackrell.  Carwile

Kicker/STs:

• By my count, Chandon Sullivan is on every single special teams, if you were wondering about his chances of making thePackers’ roster. (Hint: that's a good place to be.)  Wood
• JK Scott got too much leg on that one. Skied it for a u5.07 hang time, but it bounced at the 5-yard line and one-hopped into the end zone for a touchback.  Wood  Another high punt with good hang time from P JK Scott: 47 yards, 4.99 hang.  Wood
• JK Scott punt 40 yards, but sky high with a u4.96 hang time. Ravens got 9 yards on return.  Wood [Editorial:  Almost 5 seconds hang time on a 40 yard punt and Balt. Still gets a 9 yard return.  Are the dregs in or Rizzo missing?]
• JK Scott is averaging 52.2 yards per punt. His net is 44.0.  Silverstein [Box score list Scott with a 52.8 yd. average, and 43.5 net – if my math is correct.]
• The little things are always right with Shep. True even on the kickoff return. Fielded the ball on the left hash, but he knew the blocking scheme was set up to the right. Didn't panic or go left. Just got to the right spot and made something happen.  Kruse
• Darrius Shepherd, trying to take advantage of Trevor Davis' absence, doing what he can to make the 53. A 36-yard return helps his cause.  Wood
• In the box score, it's just an 8-yard return [by Shepherd]. But he turned a really good directional punt and really good punt coverage into an 8-yard return. No small feat.  This doesn't seem like a noteworthy play but the degree of difficulty is high. Shepherd had to track the punt to his right, make the catch with an unblocked defender in his face and then make that defender miss, pretty much all in one motion.  Kruse

Offensive/Defensive Line:

• Packers starting OL looked really good protecting the QB in Baltimore. Bears DL is a different kind of beast, but the Packers look ready for Sept. 5.  Kruse

• Packers have rushed 9 times for 6 yards.  Silverstein
• Dexter Williams fumble. Cole Madison got beat soundly by the DL.  Kruse
• Yes, that fumble is on Dexter Williams, but Cole Madison got blown back from his left guard spot and gave Williams no chance.  Demovsky [Same play as above.]
• LaFleur pulled DeBeer and placed Jenkins at Center. The O-line found their comfort and returned with production. DeBeer should only be playing in the 4th quarter.  Eye in the Sky
• The second time tonight Elgton’s been called for an extremely questionable hold.  Herman
• Kenny Clark doing Kenny Clark things. Shed the center, find the football, dump the RB.  Kruse
• The All-22 would be better but this looks like a beast of a rep by Kingsley Keke.  Carwile  [And: Keke Kingsley used a stack and shed move that flashed. Plays like that are what you look for. • That's a good play by Adams on 3rd down. Didn't rush up at the QB but took the angle to ensure he didn't lose contain. Really, really smart play.  Nagler
• On that last third down, Gary beat the chip, blew past the OT with speed and had a step, but he couldn't turn the corner tight enough and ran past the QB.  Kruse
• Big difference between Clay and Rashan during their rookie season. Even when Clay was being stonewalled he played with his hair on fire. Gary’s motor can use a boost.  Eye in the Sky
• Za'Darius Smith is going to be so good. Lines up as a 4-tech and kills Ronnie Stanley.  [This is a running play.  Z beat the tackle and come down from the backside and hits the RB hard near or behind the LOS.]  Carwile
• He basically had a sack of the quarterback was anyone other than Lamar Jackson. Beat Ronnie Stanley on an impressive move.  Wood [Here’s the pressure on a pass play.]
• Za'Darius Smith had two or three really good pass-rushes last night. This was probably his best. That's an easy sack on most QBs.  Kruse

Overall/Miscellaneous:

• Players that I think are sneakily on the bubble: Equanimeous St. Brown Marcedes Lewis Lane Taylor Tyler Lancaster Josh Jones (maybe not so sneaky).  Herman
• Packers defense missed four tackles by my count, accounting unofficially for about 20 yards (plus a sack). They came from Darnell Savage Jr., Adrian Amos, Za'Darius Smith and Curtis Bolton. Actually expected worse against Lamar Jackson, though penalty wiped out 2 missed tackles.  Wood [Written still early in the game – there were quite a few more misses to come!]
• One last random thought this morning. GB’s depth of young talented WRs could potentially counterfeit themselves. For example, Green Bay could feel confident that if they cut all of Moore, EQ, Shepherd, & Lazard, that at least 2 of them would sneak through to the practice squad.  Herman
• Lamar after Joe Webb. These pass rushers are literally going think they are rushing a statue when they play derek carr and mike Glennon.  Uglem
• Issues through two games: Running the football; Penalties on special teams; and Missed tackles.  Herman
• Also from last night (or early this morning, I guess), the Packers are down 36-10 in missed tackles by my obviously unofficial count. Yeah, it's the preseason, but ...  Huber

I put in more editorial comments than I usually do, so here is another.  Many of you might remember an article from a few years ago about the Packers' success rate during the regular season when starting at various locations on the field.  Even Aaron Rodgers had trouble moving the team when the team started out inside the 10 yard line.  It seemed to me like the Packers were backed up often last night.
