#PackersDaily: Time for Gutekunst to take center stage

With Matt LaFleur's coaching staff coming together, all eyes turn to Brian Gutekunst as he begins the process of building the 2019 Green Bay Packers.

Earlier this afternoon, I held my daily Packers chat over on our YouTube channel. You can catch the replay below.

Why does this year seem so much more critical for Gutey than last year?

The Packers have a franchise QB and maybe five good years left and we've squandered the last two years. Now with a new HC and a DC who I think will soon have a defense assembled to to be in the top ten in the league. That's good enough to go a long way next season. With Gute and LaFleuer working together I hope to buy the groceries etc. the free agents and the draft picks along with Pettine I can see great things happening and turning this Packers team around. A HOF QB a stud running back and a premier receiver the offense justs need an offensive line to protect and open holes in the running game. Utilizing the draft and free agency this can be accomplished.

I believe there could be a diamond in the rough at QB this year. We have too many other needs on offense to look at the QB position this year. Let's fix the offensive line with the 44th pick and then again in the 4th round.

If Rodgers gets hurt again and has to miss games I don't want to have to rely on Kizer to keep our playoff chances alive until Aaron can come back. We need to look for a serious back up QB already in the league or in this years draft. I know there's slim pickins but that's why I said there could be a diamond in the rough. Finley looked like he could be promising.
