I go back to zeke bratkowski and bart starr. brett favre had numerous guys pushing him. Aaron and the packers need a backup that can push aaron. Someone who can win games when aaron gets hurt. any ideas?

That is a valid point. Obviously, we want Aaron to play a full season, but we should have someone behind him capable of winning games. At the very least, there should be a QB there capable of not losing games, right?

I think we have that guy in Boyle. Kizer is terrible, I initially thought that was a good trade and no longer believe so. Finally a guy I think can play is Chad Kelly, just saw where the colts signed him today. I watched him in Denver, that kid just has this intangible winning thing about him. Watching him in Denver in the preseason last year was the most exciting thing that happened in Denver all last season. What a shame he went to that damned Von MIller Halloween party. Many people think he had a drink spiked by a teammate, cost him his job. Hope he gets squared away, dudes a baller!

I’m curious to see what the new coaching staff can get out of these QBs and also whether the change in system appears to help. I decline to write any of the three back ups in or out until we see them playing in LaFleur’s supposedly less complex system. I have a suspicion that the old one made it extremely difficult for anyone who did not have a very tight report with receivers that were given no help to get open.

I rather have Matt Flynn as backup he probably could still play.

You need a QB that walks up to the line of scrimmage and just by watching him you see his confidence, control and command of the offense. And, you can see the confidence in the other 10 players on the field. And, doesn't even have to throw the ball to know if he is decent enough to play in the nfl.

Do Kizer and Hundley have good athletic skills . Yes. Do they take know the plays. Yes.
Do they take command of the offense. No.

TheVOR says:
"Kizer is terrible,...."

Kizer got thrown into the NFL as a rookie. And where?? .... CLE. Great place to get your first snaps (sacks).

Last year he came into another new system here. And this year he gets another new system.

We'll see how he adapts and preforms this pre-season, but lets give him a chance. He probably could have had an easier first couple of years.
