Probably will be a team with a young QB. Browns, Ravens, Jets come to mind. Could also be Giants or Jags if they get young QB.

That said, Mike McCarthy will be in charge of the Jamis Winston reclamation project as head coach of the Bucs.

Just a little stat. Jared Cook has 609 Yards and 5 TDs so far this season. Well, we screwed that up as well.

Russ Ball is the spreadsheet guy and likely had zero influence on not retaining Cook. It was Thompson and only Thompson

Thank you for the emergency Podcast. This is a huge development, obviously. I hope everything works out well for coach McCarthy and our Packers

Aaron talks like a McCarthy fan. Maybe it is because he had to much to drink and his judgement is impaired. Whatever, he made some superfluous digs at others that caused me to lower my respect for him.

MM is not and never was a great coach. TT provided a lot of great players and MM was not able to capitalize enough. Special teams and defense were not well coached for years and MM failed to fix it on a timely basis.

Cleveland may have enough good players to win some games with or without a quality head coach. MM may be a slight improvement over Hue, but not much. Good luck to whoever hires him, they are going to need it.

I just want to thank McCarthy for everything he did.

A lot of people forget what he did for us when he first came to GB. He turned Favre around, helped develop Rodgers. Favre was a mess when he first came in. McCarthy turned him around.

McCarthy also brought the trophy back to GB.

McCarthy is a class act and a great human from everything that I have heard.

The early years of Thompson/McCarthy were really good.

I just want to wish McCarthy the best of luck!

I only was able to watch until the beginning of the 3rd qtr but you knew this was not going well then. I got a chuckle when I checked the score a little later and a huge surprise like everyone else with the firing.

At first, my thoughts were that the team was so depleted with injuries that there was no way they would cover the 14pt spread. But I thought they would win.

Then with the dropped passes and running to the weak right side calls, you could see that the team was not focused and that MM is a worse coach than anyone could have thought. And AR's smirks showed that he just didn't care anymore.

Murphy probably had no choice with whoever was bringing the pressure but once again, he brought it on himself. As did MM, as did TT.

As sad as it is, they should be giving Kizer plenty of 'show me' time and see if they should be drafting another qb. No guarantee AR returns to his previous self. But he definitely needs some head work. Sad to see what he did to his reputation this year.

With Daniels back and one other solid edge rusher and a little more, D should be good enough next year. Rookie receivers look good enough. So priority is O line.

If only they listened to those of us that told them to get rid of MM 3 years ago!

The connection between Philbin & A-Rod is renewed, Before Joe bolted for Miami, these two offensive minds had a very close relationship. It will happen to bond once more! I'ts a no-brainer....
